I was disappointed that it wasn't metallic, but it does give the optical illusion of metal, so I'm still happy with it. My favorite thing about it though is the stitching around the outside. All of my old mouse pads have started peeling up around the edges and it looks terrible and feels terrible, so I got this specifically because it has the stitching and I know it will be impossible to peel up, so that alone is worth it to me!Normal size.
